Raul Jimenez back in training at Wolves

Raul Jimenez is back in training at Wolves.

The Mexico striker has begun "early fitness work", the club have revealed, as he continues his rehabilitation from a horrific skull fracture.

Jimenez suffered a sickening clash of heads with with Arsenal's David Luiz during Wolves's 2-1 win over Arsenal in November and had surgery five weeks ago. He has since returned to the club's training ground to visit his team-mates and looked in good spirits.

The club confirmed he had now taken his first steps in his road to recovery, and said "things are going well" for the Mexican, but stressed it would be a while before Jimenez finally makes his comeback.

A statement read: "Raul is five weeks since his surgery following a fractured skull and is doing some early fitness work, but still has a way to go, however things are going well."
