Real Madrid legend Raul admits he's a fan of Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi.

Icardi was seriously considered by Real president Florentino Perez for the January market, before ultimately choosing to step away from negotiations.

Raul told RMC Sport: "He is a great striker, he has the quality to play in any team, not just in Real Madrid, he is already in a big one, but it is clear that if he continues, many teams will be interested in him."

Raul also spoke of another Real transfer target, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

He added: "He is a quality striker, it would be a good opportunity for Real Madrid and not only, I do not know what will happen in the future, because Robert already plays in a big team like Bayern, but on his talent there are no doubts."
