Raul delighted as Real Madrid reach UYL final

Real Madrid coach Raul was delighted seeing them reach the UEFA Youth League final.

Los Blancos beat RB Salzburg to reach the final, which will be their first appearance in the Youth League's showpiece game in its seventh season.

"I'm happy, but it's relative happiness," Raul said after the game on Saturday.

"At Real Madrid you're only happy when you win."

Looking ahead to the final, Raul's only concerns were about his players' physical condition.

"We have to get the boys back as soon as possible," he added.

"It'll be our fourth game and there's a lot of wear and tear from the games.

"Hopefully with the work of everyone here, from doctors, physios and the drive of Real Madrid, we can compete on Tuesday in the best way and fight until the end."

On Saturday's game, the coach accepted that his side didn't have everything their own way, despite periods of dominance.

"There were two very different halves," he said.

"We were superior in the first half and started very well.

"In the second we had to defend because they played a very direct game.

"The boys suffered, but titles aren't won without suffering."
