Rashford, Fernandes give Man Utd crucial away victory over Granada

Manchester United have taken a commanding lead in their Europa League quarter-final with Slavia Prague.

Marcus Rashford put United ahead after 31 minutes when he connected beautifully on Victor Lindelof's long ball before a calculated finish past Rui Silva.

Granada had their chances as Manchester City loanee Yangel Herrera hit the post and former Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado fired wide.

But it was United who got the second goal of the game, this time to Bruno Fernandes from the penalty spot.

The Portuguese midfielder was fouled by Yan Brice to win the spot-kick, which he only narrowly slipped past Silva.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have now only lost one in their last 17 matches across all competitions.

And they will be feeling confident about reaching the semi-final stage heading into next Thursday's second leg at Old Trafford.
