Croatia striker Nikica Jelavic is in the sights of Blackburn Rovers.

The Mirror says Sam Allardyce's spies have put together a dossier on the Rapid Vienna hit man and will watch him pre-season.

Jelavic was born in Bosnia but opted to play for the Croats and is one of their rising stars - along with £6m Nikola Kalinic who joined Rovers last year.

Big Sam sees Jelavic, 24, as a possible partner for him.
