Newly-appointed Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri is reportedly interested in OGC Nice midfielder Nampalys Mendy.

RMC is reporting that Ranieri is looking to make the 23-year-old his first summer transfer signing since taking over the reigns at the King Power Stadium.

It is understood that should the Foxes land Mendy, it will end their pursuit of SM Caen midfielder N'Golo Kante, paving the way for the Malian to move to Marseille.
