Nantes manager Claudio Ranieri wants to raid former club Leicester City for midfielder Papy Mendy, according to The Sun.

Papy Mendy joined Leicester City from Nice last season for a sizeable fee of around £13m.

But injuries have meant that the 25-year-old was limited to only nine appearances throughout the course of the campaign.

It now remains to be seen as to whether Mendy features in the long term plans of Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare and reports have claimed that the Frenchman could well be set for an exit from the King Power Stadium this summer.

And Nantes boss Claudio Ranieri is allegedly keen on reuniting with his former midfielder.
