Former Leicester City and Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri has offered support to Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho is under huge pressure at Manchester United after their worst start to a season in 26 years.

But Ranieri says: "Mourinho is a fighter, as always.

"From what I could read, he could not have the players he was asking for this summer. He is going through a difficult time.

"But for me he remains a great coach."
