Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri admits he was naive to think that all of his title-winning players wanted to stay with the club.
The reigning Premier League champions held onto nearly all of their stars this summer apart from N'Golo Kante who decided to join Chelsea in a £32million deal.
While Gokhan Inler and Ritchie de Laet were given permission to leave, Ranieri admitted he made an error of judgement in expecting every single one of his prime movers to stay put.
"If I am honest, no-one," he said when asked who he thought would leave King Power Stadium.
"I thought everybody wanted to stay with Leicester and continue to fight. I made a mistake.
"One did want to go. Kante is finished. It is not an excuse now because there isn't Kante."
Leicester will be looking to bounce back from last week's 2-1 loss to promoted Hull City when they host Arsenal on Saturday.
