Former Roma coach Claudio Ranieri says AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud epitomises the spirit of World Cup finalists France.
Giroud has been a key play in Les Bleus' run to the final, where they will face Argentina.
Ranieri told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "They and Argentina are two real teams, who don't live only thanks to the inspiration of their main stars. Les Bleus are above all a team that has so far been able to make up for the absences of people like Pogba, Kante, Benzema.
"Have you noticed Giroud's spirit of self-sacrifice? Against Morocco, he was exhausted to follow Amrabat up to midfield, thus removing many passing lines from the Fiorentina midfielder.
"Rabiot is playing an excellent World Cup, but Tchouameni is doing really well. Then there's Mbappé, who when he starts off fast no one can stop him. Perhaps he is the player who in some ways resembles Ronaldo the Phenomenon the most, because he has technique and speed."
