Former RB Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick is urging Timo Werner to stay where he is.
The striker is being linked with Liverpool for the summer market.
Rangnick, now Red Bull football director, said: "He has developed further, especially in terms of scoring goals, and he can take another step under Julian Nagelsmann and with his teammates.
"I will be happy if he stays.
"Timo has to consider whether he will have the opportunity to play as firmly as he does in Leipzig if he switches to another club."
