Rangers and Joey Barton have agreed to part ways.
The Scottish giants and the veteran midfielder have been at loggerheads since the player was banned in September for breaching club discipline.
Sky Sports suggests that the club and the former Newcastle United, Manchester City, QPR, Marseille and Burnley man have agreed a severance package which will be finalised before being announced on Wednesday.
34-year-old Barton only joined 'Gers from Burnley in May on a two-year deal but found himself in hot water after questioning the team following a 5-1 loss to Glasgow rivals Celtic in the Scottish Cup.
He was initially banned from the club for three weeks before that was extended, but has now agreed to leave Ibrox having made just eight appearances.
