Celtic are being linked with Hermann Hreidarsson, despite initial reports he would be joining Rangers this summer. The 34-year-old is available on a free transfer after his contract at Portsmouth expired and he looks set for a move to Scotland after more than 10 years in England.
However the player's agent, Olafur Gardarsson, refused to give anything away when he told the Daily Record: "There are contracts on the table and there may be an option in Scotland as well as others from England.
"But there is more than one club in Scotland."
Hreidarsson was equally vague, saying: "I'm not sure of what is happening. I must speak with my agent."
