Rangers seal three-goal home win over Red Star Belgrade

Rangers are in an outstanding position to reach the last eight of the Europa League.

The Scottish champions, who beat Borussia Dortmund in the last round of the competition, defeated Red Star Belgrade 3-0 at home.

James Tavernier, Alfredo Morelos, and Leon Balogun got the goals for the Gers in front of their home crowd.

The result means that Giovanni van Bronckhorst's will know that avoiding a heavy defeat in the second leg will see them qualify for the quarter-finals.

That may allow Rangers to focus on the Scottish Premiership games they have upcoming, as they are involved in a tight title race with Celtic.
