Rangers have rejected an offer from Everton for defender Nathan Patterson.
The right-back is a key target for Toffees boss Rafa Benitez, who wishes to strengthen his options in that area.
According to theLiverpool Echo, the 19-year-old is seen as an ideal option to come into the squad and eventually take over from Seamus Coleman.
However, Rangers did not find the Everton bid acceptable, and there is no suggestion if the Premier League club will come in with another offer.
Patterson has a contract with Rangers until 2024.
