Rangers new boy Kranjcar hoping to emulate Prso, Jelavic

Niko Kranjcar is hoping he can follow in the footsteps of former Rangers stars Dado Prso and Nikica Jelavic.

The 31-year-old midfielder became the third Croatian international to sign for the Glasgow giants after completing his medical on Thursday.

The former QPR, Portsmouth and Tottenham man admits it is a great thrill to have joined Rangers and admits he is looking to achieve the same success as the Croatian pair before him.

"Absolutely, and hopefully I can achieve as much as they did," he told the club's official website.

"I'll definitely do my best to repeat that.

"[Nikica] was delighted for me, he congratulated me. He said I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it and do well."
