Rangers signing Niko Kranjcar has claimed that his fellow arrival at the club, Joey Barton, is the most underrated player he has played with.

The 31-year-old, who has signed for the Scottish Premiership club on a two-year deal, played with Barton at Queens Park Rangers.

He told the club's official website: "It has been so well reported and said what Joey can bring; probably the most underrated player I have played with because his ability is really up there with the best.

"His character, I think everybody knows that he is going to bring more, he is going to give everything to win a football game so I think he is a great fit for the club."

Croatian midfielder Kranjcar has joined the Ibrox outfit from North American Soccer League side New York Cosmos.
