Rangers are making a move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.

The Sun says reports in France claim Gers have already sounded him out over a stunning switch to Ibrox.

French international Giroud has made just seven appearances for Frank Lampard's side this season and scored in the Uefa Super Cup defeat to Liverpool.

Crystal Palace are also believed to be interested in the former Arsenal star, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

But Rangers boss Steven Gerrard will be hoping former England team-mate Lampard helps him out in the market.
