Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara remains on the radar of Aston Villa.

The Daily Mail says manager Dean Smith wants an experienced midfielder to bolster his options with John McGinn out for three months with a fractured ankle.

Finland international Kamara, 24, started out at Arsenal and has attracted attention from some of Europe's top clubs.

His performances in the Europa League this season in particular have impressed a number of sides.

Villa are struggling in the Premier League having lost 3-0 against Watford on Saturday.
