Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is chasing a late deal for Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons.

The Mirror says Rangers are battling with Hull City and Greek side AEK Athens to land the 22 year-old winger.

Aarons spent last season on loan in Italy's Serie A with Hellas Verona.

But with Newcastle having Kenedy, Matt Ritchie, Jacob Murphy and Christian Atsu as wide options boss Benitez is willing to let Aarons leave temporarily again.

Gerrard hopes the chance to play for titles at Ibrox will convince about Aarons moving north.
