Steven Whittaker has vowed to not only improve as a defender but also chip in with more goals next season. The 25-year-old, although reasonably happy with his return since joining Rangers in 2007, is keen to add more goals to his game once the new campaign gets under way.
"I was delighted with my first season, I think I got five goals.
"In my previous seasons at Hibs, I'd only scored one or two goals each season.
"So, to come here and get five in my first season, I was delighted with that.
"I've managed to chip in with a few last season as well so hopefully that can continue."
