Rangers are favourites to sign Daniel Sturridge, according to bookmakers.
The 29-year-old forward is a free agent after his contract with Liverpool expired on June 30.
And bookmakers believe the Englishman could link up with former Reds teammate Steven Gerrard at Ibrox.
Speaking to the Scottish Sun, Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson said: "Steven Gerrard will be desperate to shatter Celtic's Scottish sovereignty, and his old Liverpool mucker could be the final piece of Rangers' puzzle.
"If he stays fit and hungry, Sturridge could be Stevie G's ticket into the Gers' folklore."
