Andrius Velicka will return to Rangers after his loan spell at Bristol City was cut short following news he ruptured his cruciate knee ligaments in City's game with QPR on Tuesday, just a day after joining the club on a season-long loan. Robins boss Gary Johnson is expecting him to return to Scotland for treatment.

"He was the type of player we needed and it's hard to find the right one," he told the Bristol Evening Post.

"I imagine Andrius will go back to Scotland for treatment, although that has yet to be decided."
