Rangers boss Steven Gerrard believes the current Liverpool team is lacking winning experience.
The Red legend spent 17 seasons at Anfield, winning a Champions League and two FA Cups in that time.
When asked how this current Liverpool side compared to the ones he played in, Gerrard told BBC 5 Live.
"I think the only thing they haven't got going for them is that experience," he said.
"Obviously someone who went very close myself I think we lacked that experience as well.
"But I always felt when we were trying to win it I always felt like we were short in certain positions.
"I'm looking now and I can't really find any weaknesses when they're at full strength if they keep everyone fit and healthy.
"I think this is a lot stronger than the team I played in. It's been Liverpool 's best squad for a very long time."
