Rangers boss Steven Gerrard isn't surprised by the form this season of James Milner at Liverpool.

Milner, 32, is arguably in the best form of his career with Liverpool enjoying a fine start to the season.

The midfielder has kept summer signings Naby Keita and Fabinho out of the starting line-up this term and Gerrard believes he deserves his place.

"Milner is causing them selection problems," said Gerrard. "He's in the form of his life."
