Steven Gerrard has played down talk Rangers could sign Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke in January.

The tall forward has struggled for game time this season and has also been linked with Crystal Palace.

But Gerrard remained coy on any move when asked on Wednesday.

"I haven't heard Dominic say he wants to leave Liverpool," Gerrard told the Daily Mail.

"I haven't heard Liverpool say they want him to leave, so there's nothing really to say about it."
