Rangers boosted as Jelavic awarded work permit

New Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic has been granted a work permit by the Scottish FA, clearing the way for the player to make his debut. Subject to paperwork being completed, the Croatia international could make his debut against St Johnstone in the SPL at Ibrox on Saturday.

He must now finalise his application process to get a visa in order to get Home Office clearance.

As in accordance to SPL rules, the Ibrox club will then have until 5pm on Friday to register the striker to play against the Saints.
