Rangers Algerian midfielder set to leave Ibrox

Brahim Hemdani intends to leave Rangers at the end of the season, with Spain his preferred destination. The Algerian midfielder has not featured for the Gers this season and his contract at Ibrox expires in the summer.

"My contract ends this year and what is certain is I will leave Rangers to look for a new challenge," said the 30 year old in the Daily Record.

"The Scottish league is pretty boring outside of Old Firm games.

"There is very little real competition and the fact the club didn't qualify for the Champions League made things worse.

"The time is coming for me to leave and begin a new chapter in my career. Spain is the place that really appeals."
