Ranger's paltry contract claims 'unprofessional' - Blackpool boss Clark

Blackpool manager Lee Clark has played down suggestions that the club made a derisive offer to Nile Ranger.

The 24-year old striker claimed recently that the Seasiders, who he has not played for since October, made him a paltry contract offer for him to remain at Bloomfield Road.

But Clark, who was not manager at the time of the proposal, has waved away the comments from the former Newcastle United and Swindon Town man.

"He knew the contract he was apparently signing," Clark told reporters.

"All this nonsense - it's unprofessional, totally unprofessional. They're people I don't want around my club at all."
