Ramos: My advice to Spurs striker Kane on Real Madrid offer...

Former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has urged Harry Kane to make the move to Spain.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane is Real Madrid president Florentino Perez's No1 target this summer market after Karim Benzema's decision to leave a year before his contract expires.

Ramos, who has just been released by PSG, told the Mirror: "My advice to any player is don't turn down the opportunity to play for Real Madrid, it is a special club who know how to win.

"He [Kane] has an incredible physical presence. You can't score as many goals as he does in the Premier League and not be able to play the physical side of the game, but also he can play the technical side of the game as well and I don't think he gets enough credit for that.

"Yes, he is a great goalscorer, but also he is a great football player as well."

On former teammate Benzema, Ramos also said: "He [Benzema] has contributed to so much success with Real Madrid you will never be able to replace him.

"He is one of those players who is unique in the history of Madrid. What you do need to do though is bring in a quality forward who can come in and score goals. Not everybody can play for Real Madrid as there is so much pressure and expectation so it needs to be the right player."
