Super agent Mino Raiola accompanied Matthijs de Ligt for his medical tests at J-Medical this morning.

As his client underwent his tests ahead of making the switch from Ajax to Juventus, Raiola spoke to reporters about the move.

"If Juve is what he wanted most? It's not about that, but it's the best team for him," he said.

"That a defender comes to Italy is important to become the number one in the world. Now he needs a little more to show that he can be at a higher level, in a spirit of work he surpasses (Pavel) Nedved and in mentality, he reminds me of (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic.

"If Cristiano (Ronaldo) told De Ligt to go to Juve, you would have to ask him, the choice to come was something thoughtful, not a one-day talk, it was a process, not a council."
