Rafinha is baulking at Barcelona attempts to open new contract talks.

The midfielder missed out on a move to Real Betis before the market shut on Friday.

Mundo Deportivo says Barca are eager to extend Rafinha's deal, which currently runs to 2020, but the Brazilian is refusing to consider negotiations.

Rafinha is reluctant to commit, convinced he won't be a regular starter this season under coach Ernesto Valverde.

A move away in January remains on the agenda for Rafinha, with former club Inter Milan still keen.
