Radja Nainggolan has declared he wants to play out his career with AS Roma.

The midfielder joined Roma almost 12 months ago from Cagliari.

"I could have gone to a top team straight away," Nainggolan revealed to Rivistastudio. "I had the opportunity, but I didn't think it was the right path for me, that I needed to wait.

"I wanted to mature at Cagliari where I felt good, and now I can say that I waited for the right time.

"It took a lot to get to a great club, and now I can't imagine not finishing my career here.

"To go abroad would be difficult, going to a rival would be impossible.

"But most importantly, I don't see a better team than Roma in the coming years. I'm happy to be here and that's a fact."
