Racing target Man City No2 Lillo, Celta Vigo's Coudet

Manchester City assistant manager Juan Manuel Lillo is wanted in Argentina.

Marca says Racing Club are in the market for a new coach and have Lillo on their shorlist.

Claudio Úbeda will leave in December when the Argentine season concludes and Racing are now seeking a replacement.

Lillo is on the radar, along with Celta Vigo's Eduardo Coudet and Hernán Crespo.

The veteran coach moved to City last season to replace Mikel Arteta after he was named Arsenal manager. Guardiola turned to his old friend in the summer of 2020 as he sought a replacement for his long-time deputy.

Guardiola has long hailed Lillo as a tactical visionary and credited him with a key role in City's success last season. The 55 year-old was tempted back to Europe by Guardiola after three years away, working in Colombia, Japan and China. He has been working in coaching since only 20 years of age.
