Former Watford and Atletico Madrid coach Quique Sanchez Flores has put his hand up for the Valencia job.
Los Che are seeking a new coaching appointment after the sacking of Albert Celades this week.
For the moment, Voro is in temporary charge, but a new permanent coaching appointment could yet be made before the end of the season.
Sanchez Flores, who also coached at the Mestalla, told El Chiringuito: "My return to Valencia would be a dream that slips into reality.
"I see myself prepared as a coach, but I don't know the stage. For that we must speak. When we speak of Valencia we speak of a lot of souls who are Valencianists and who are going to know me.
"If I returned, it would be to enjoy it and make people enjoy. The Valencia fans have seen a lot and want commitment and to be in the fight."
