QSI go cold on buying into Tottenham

Qatar Sports Investments are moving away from their attempts to put money into Tottenham.

The London club were the subject of serious interest from QSI, as they look to boost their footballing portfolio.

Instead of buying Spurs or investing in the club, the owners of Paris Saint-Germain will now look to invest in clubs in Spain, Italy and Brazil.

Per the London Evening Standard, they are looking to add minority stakes in Malaga, Sampdoria, and Brazilian club Santos.

Given UEFA rules do not allow for the same owners to buy multiple clubs, Qatar are seeking minority stakes in these teams.

Whether the Qatari royal family buys Manchester United is still up in the air at present.
