QPR striker Zamora reveals fresh Hodgson contact

QPR striker Bobby Zamora has revealed he's been in contact with England coach Roy Hodgson.

Zamora admits England manager Roy Hodgson, under whom he played some of the best football of his career at Craven Cottage, has been in contact recently to let him know he is still being considered.

"He was not in touch before Euro 2012 but I have spoken to him a few times recently, just touching base really and seeing how I am," Zamora told the London Evening Standard.

"Obviously, I understand that I am still in the picture. I am just on the fringes so I have just got to keep doing my thing, keep working hard, score some goals and maybe get another look in.

"I've had a little taste of it. Obviously I know Roy Hodgson very well. If he needs me then, of course, I would be more than delighted to try and help out any way I can."
