QPR seek loan deal for Wigan striker King

QPR are planning a loan bid for Wigan Athletic striker Marlon King.

The Daily Mail says King was shipped out on loan to Middlesbrough and Hull City last season and is currently behind Hugo Rodallega and Jason Scotland in Roberto Martinez's attacking options.

King is thought to be keen on returning to London in a bid to recapture the form that prompted then Latics chief Steve Bruce to spend £4m on him in January 2008.

And QPR manager Jim Magilton is keen on giving the 29-year-old a route back to the capital and is eyeing a temporary deal for the striker.
