Queens Park Rangers midfielder Mikele Leigertwood has joined Championship rivals Reading on loan.
The 28-year old Antigua and Barbuda international will join the Royals for two months and will be available to make his Reading debut this weekend against Leeds United.
Reading boss Brian McDermott was delighted to secure the short-term services of Leigertwood who was also being monitored by Preston North End.
"He is a player who has earned promotion to the Premier League before, via the play-offs with Crystal Palace, and who has worn the captain's armband at QPR," McDermott said.
Leigertwood has struggled to make an impression with QPR this season, making just nine substitute appearances under Neil Warnock.
