QPR have joined the battle for free agent Shola Ameobi.
The former Newcastle United striker has returned to Tyneside after cutting short his time in Turkey's Second Division.
Former Toon boss Alan Pardew is keen to be reunited with Ameobi, though West Bromwich Albion have also made contact.
The Daily Mail says QPR have now approached the veteran's camp.
Ameobi held talks with Palace on Tuesday as Pardew looks to reunite himself with the experienced centre-forward.
