QPR boss Harry Redknapp is confident his job is not under threat and feels the club will win promotion to the Premier League this season despite some recent disappointing results. Former Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has been linked with the post, but an unconcerned Redknapp told TalkSPORT: "There is always somebody who people talk to and they don't like you and want to stick the boot in.
"This is the first blip we've had all season, it can happen. We have put a new team together and if you said at the start of the season that we'd make the play-offs, we'd have been quite happy. But when you're up there all season, you get disappointed when you lose a few games.
"We can still make automatic, it's not impossible. If we end up in the play-offs, I'd still fancy us.
"We had a massive turnaround, with 18 players left (in the summer), a lot of good players who left because they were earning too much money and they had to go.
"We have put a new team together and if you had said at the start of the year we would make the play-offs, I think we would have been quite happy.
"When you are up there first or second as we were, then you get disappointed when you (suddenly) lose a few games and start looking at the play-offs.
"We can still make automatic (promotion), it is not impossible."
Asked if everyone behind the scenes at the west London club appreciated how difficult the Championship was, Redknapp said: "I don't know, I would not bet on it.
"You look at Notts Forest, they are a good side. The teams which came down who finished in front of us (in the Premier League last season), Reading and Wigan, they are strong and are going to be bang there.
"It is very tight and a tough division, so you have got no divine right (to promotion).
"We won three on the spin, now we have suddenly had a little blip and lost three out of four, but we have got to bounce back this weekend (against Leeds)."
