QPR boss Harry Redknapp claims he didn't drop Rio Ferdinand.

The former Manchester United defender was left on the bench for yesterday's heart- breaking defeat to Liverpool.

Redknapp claimed Ferdinand couldn't start because of a groin strain, despite a free two weeks from the international break.

Richard Dunne stepped in for Ferdinand and despite scoring an own goal impressed alongside Steven Caulker.
