QPR boss Redknapp: I know nothing about Caulker

QPR boss Harry Redknapp insists he knows nothing about the cause of Steven Caulker's head injury this week.

Caulker sustained a head wound at a Christmas Party in Wandsworth, involving also Crystal Palace players, although Rangers denied any altercation had taken place and took no disciplinary action.

Redknapp confirmed Caulker is available to face Everton on Monday and just wants to put the incident behind him.

He said: "It has certainly not damaged anything, it's only one lad who ended up having a problem. The rest weren't a problem.

"I always said I have got no time for footballers going out and having a jolly at Christmas or any other time, but they went for Sunday lunch. It wasn't a Christmas party. If it was, all the players would have gone. Only a small group went.

"Crystal Palace players were there, too. It wasn't a club thing, just a few lads had a lunch together. I didn't stop them going, they were quite entitled to do that.

"Caulker fell over, don't ask me how. I wasn't there. I can't be with them 24 hours a day but that was it. I didn't know anything about it till Monday, I certainly didn't think it warranted front page headlines.

"Surely there are more important things going on than Caulker falling over and banging his head?"
