QPR boss Michael Beale is in contact with Rangers players ahead of taking the Ibrox job.
His appointment now seems imminent and it's likely he will make his Ibrox return in the coming days - following his three-year stint in Glasgow as Steven Gerrard's right-hand man.
The Daily Mail reports that Beale has already contacted some of the Rangers players to find out the lie of the land ahead of his potential switch.
The first team players are set to report back into training on Monday following their two week break and the Ibrox club hope to have their replacement in the door by then to meet them in person.
Beale followed Gerrard from Rangers to Aston Villa, before leaving for QPR last season.
