QPR are battling to sign released Fulham utility Chris Baird.

The Fulham Chronicle says West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City are set to be disappointed as boss Harry Redknapp revealed the former Fulham player has been training non-stop with QPR for the last eight days.

"I like Chris Baird. He knows what he's doing and he's a good player," said the manager. "I'd like to do something with him."
