Pyramids FC chief responds to Liverpool link for Ibrahim Adel

Pyramids FC chiefs are happy young attacker Ibrahim Adel is being linked with big European clubs.

However, they insist talk of an approach from Liverpool is wide of the mark.

When commenting directly on Liverpool's reported interest, Pyramids FC director of football Mahmoud Fathallah dismissed such reports as nothing more than transfer rumours.

“Ibrahim Adel is a huge talent for us and for Egyptian football," he is quoted as saying by KingFut. “The rumours regarding the Liverpool interest in him is good, but there is nothing official happening relating to the matter."

Hailed as the 'next Mohamed Salah' following such form, Adel was the subject of a £2m bid from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland over the summer, only for the offer to fall short of Pyramids' valuation, which is believed to be at least £5m plus add-ons. Following such interest, Adel was handed a new-long term contract last month, tying his future to the club until 2026.
