Former Barcelona captain Carles Puyol feels Yerry Mina could've made it at the Nou Camp.

The Colombia defender lasted barely six months at Barca before being sold to Everton last summer.

Puyol told Marca: "It is not easy for a player to enter and succeed in Barcelona. For defenders to get into it, you need to adapt your game and learn a new way to play, it is not easy with everything else that takes place around you.

"Yerry had great players in front of him like Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti.

"In football it sometimes does not work as you like."
