Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is favourite to leave Anfield before the start of the new season after a flurry of bets against the 42-year-old retaining his job. Rodgers is due to meet with Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon in the next 10 days to reflect on a disappointing season.

Michael Bowers Sports Trader for Betfair commented: "At the start of this season, Rodgers was 100/1 to leave Liverpool but it's gone from the unthinkable to the very likely as he is now odds-on at 5/6 to part ways with the club he came so close to winning the title with, this time last year."
