Corriere della Sera's Mario Sconcerti has declared it's time for Andrea Pirlo to leave Juventus.
Juve meet Napoli with fourth place up for grabs this week. It's been claimed Pirlo will be sacked should they lose.
But Sconcerti insists Pirlo should step down and take a less high-profile job, writing in his column: "The mistake lies in comparing this Juve with those of the past. It is a different thing, but there are also in this Juve many important players. Finally, the mistakes are evident. It is impossible not to know where to intervene. I think it will be competitive again next season.
"And here we are at the last point: with or without Pirlo? Certainly without. Pirlo is an excellent coach who must have the humility to start from the bottom and learn a profession that is not only tactics but also relationships with others, or not fully understanding others, often means saying things that are incomprehensible to others."
