Pulis tells Stoke players to ignore Man City hype

Manchester City axed manager Mark Hughes on Saturday to replace him with Roberto Mancini - and the Italian's first game in charge is the home date with Stoke. Potters boss Tony Pulis is now urging his players not to get distracted by the "circus" of Manchester City on Boxing Day.

"The big thing for us is to concentrate on ourselves, play as well as we did at Aston Villa last Saturday and hope for a better rub of the green," he told The Sentinel.

"What we cannot afford to do is get wrapped up in the circus that will be going on at Man City this weekend and leading up to the game."
